Great post about the belief system in your journal Shannon.
My experience say the same. People (that are worth caring about at least) care about how they feel around you. Especially girls, but guys to. If you make someone feel genuinely seen and feel good about themselves, or just laugh about life or something in general, that will make them like you, because you give them a break from stuff (and possibly themselves). I got compliments this weekend from some friends telling me that "I always make people smile" and that "i was special" - because I was so easy to hang around with.
I believe that a big mistake that guys do, which gets in the way of enjoying general companionship is they focus on outcomes to much. I don't try to focus on getting a girl in bed, if that is going to happen, it's going to happen for other reasons rather than me playing a "game". I just focus on having a good time. Because if you do stuff with some other intention behind it, people will notice that you are not playing with your cards on the table. Sure you can project sexual interest, but that isn't something you have to do consciously, that will just show up as a tension.
I have previously been complimented for being a really nice guy to hang out with and that people like and remember me, but with E2 this has started to be magnified.
