Quote:I think this was answered before but don't know where to find it again. Anyways, Shannon on your BASE product page it says "Obviating courage" but I checked three different sites and they all say that obviate means to remove. Did you fix this? And if you think it means something else could you site your source?
Shannon said that the way he was using it means that it's making courage more obvious.
Shannon's quote below...
Quote:It's pretty sad when even dictionaries do not know the definition of a word.
The definitions given are valid, but they are not the only definitions.
If something is not obvious yet, you can make it obvious by obviating it. Perhaps an advanced and unusual use of the word, but this only speaks to the sad state of affairs concerning the decay of the English language.
It never seemed advanced or unusual to me... seems pretty common sense to me.
Quote:I was just writing about UD to a member, and while doing so, I remembered some very good things. In short, UD swept away a lot of the daily emotional garbage I had been carrying habitually.
On that note, does the H&C in DMSI have any similar components? Being truthful to myself was how it began changing me, as lying had always seemed easier (though it required SO MUCH energy). But UD wouldn't allow me to BS myself. I value it for that reason.
So does DMSI have similar components to UD?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.
Yes it has similar components, the difference is it is pointed towards the goals of DMSI. It would likely deal with similar things, like bsing yourself less because that seems like an important part of the goal to me. And DMSI does have a detox module in 3.2.
