What counts as a "missed day"? - dissonance - 05-23-2015

I know that if you miss a day, you should add 1.5x the amount of hours you would have done that day to your total, added over time. However, what if you got some hours in, just not all of them? For example, if I'm aiming for 384 hrs per stage (which is 12 hrs per day), and one day I get only 4 hrs, is it ok to just add 8 hrs to my total hrs, or do I need to do the 1.5x for the 8 hrs I missed. Or do I only need to do the 1.5x if I COMPLETELY miss a day, as in absolutely zero hours?

I'd just do 1.5x no matter what. That way you're covered regardless. And you aren't anywhere near the 21 hour a day limit, so more hours listened can never be a bad thing in such a situation Smile.

But, try to not let that happen often. You need to keep the momentum going.

Ok what aobut if I get only 10 hours instead of 4? (Always above 8), but sometimes just not to my usual 15 hrs?

Does that count as a "missed day"?

I would count it as a day,

Though, I would do the next 5x days of 16 hours (instead of 15) to make up the 5 hour gap.

If you are at the end of a stage, I would squeeze them in.

So if it's a day below the usual hours, but above the 8 hour minimum, then the make-up hours to add for later, it would be just 1x the missed hours, as opposed to the 1.5x if it was a full on completely "missed day" with no hours?

I would see it this way.

A good general rule of thumb would be, if you can get in more than a couple hours in a day, and make up the hours the next day, that should work if you don't do it very often. Otherwise, do 1.5x hours.
