Urgent help regarding headphone - jonathan4all - 10-04-2014

Hello all
My Ipod's headphone just broken. I need a new pair of earbuds and I want to make sure I bought a good one this time.
The quality should be
A. does not come out of the ear
b. meet frequency response 20 hz - 20 khz
c. within 150 USD

I am not sure about noise cancellation is it good for ultrasound or not.

Please suggest.

I dont understand this part at all. Not good in technical sound issues LOL . I think this one is good . The lower frequency response is very hard to match around 18hz upper i get around 20/22Khz usually .

Zen honestly I myself don't know but I guess 18hz to 20Khz+ is best. But I am not sure if it is 5hz technically it should cover 18hz or is there anything else. I am not sure. But try to find out some suggestions from all you folks so that I can buy the best one as far I know within my budget.

No, even with ultrasonic it's ok (20hz to 20khz minimum for ultrasonic). Most earphone/earbud will play fine. It's only the speaker that are hard to find because they usually cost a lot more. I have bought earphone for 15 bucks and they can play ultrasonic.

I am planning to listen after AM6 SM3, AYPW/G 5g (if available), BASE, BAMM almost 5000 usd subs and if I don't buy the best in ear headphone it will be unfair. LOL. just to make sure u know.

Morever, my next sub I have plan to listen completely on headphone or at least 8 hours on headphone . So that's why looking for a comfortable and technically perfect in ear headphone.

Yes the lower end (20hz) gets better if they are lower 17hz, 15hz, 5hz. It's like saying with "dates" that the requirement is to be born before 1900 and to die at least after 1950, so if you are born before it's better. The other end is represented by 20khz, for this one the bigger the better.

Most headphone will meet the requirements in terms of sound. Comfort is the problem.

What do you think ?

Long ago I read that Shannon doesn't recommend using headphones with noise cancellation feature.

Zen when I try to maintain frequency response and a good headphone it all automatically comes out with noise cancellation . I am actually checking it from here:

Shannon said not to use noise cancelling headphone with sub.
The only thing that seems possible is find an earphone that doesn't obstruct the ear so you can hear the outside sound too.

I have bought this one and I'm not disappointed for now. It doesn't fall easily while sleeping.

My advice would be to buy cheap earphone from ~18$ to 30$ till will find one that fit your needs. I don't trust 100$ earphone, it doesn't seem to be a reasonable deal performance wise. Avoid Philips brand.
